The 1st International APWeb-WAIM Workshop on Spatial-rich Big Data Management and applications (SRBDMA2025)

Workshop Aim and Scope

Spatial-rich data primarily include spatial, temporal, spatio-temporal and mobile data. The importance of such data has increased significantly in various scientific fields, such as climate research, biodiversity, and the social sciences, primarily due to improvements in data collection and accessibility. We welcome contributions spanning modeling, storage, accessing, analytics, mining, learning, visualization, benchmarking and applications across diverse domains, reflecting the growing significance of spatial-rich data in today’s data-driven world.

The 1st International APWeb-WAIM Workshop on Spatial-rich Big Data Management and applications (SRBDMA2025) will take place on August 28th-30th, 2025, Shenyang, China, in conjunction with APWeb-WAIM which is an annual international conference on Web and Big Data. The objective of SRBDMA2025is to provide a dedicated forum to bring together researchers, practitioners and others to share and exchange ideas, practical development experiences and the latest research results on spatial-rich big data management and applications. SRBDMA2025 will provide an excellent opportunity for the researchers from academia and industry as well as practitioners to showcase the latest advances in this area and to discuss future research directions and challenges on spatial-rich big data management and applications.
