Call for Tutorial Proposals

We solicit proposals for tutorial presentations of general interest to the APWeb-AWAIM conference. All topics relevant to the main conference will be considered. We encourage tutorial proposals that address an emerging research area of interest, and offer the conference attendees an overall introduction to the state-of-the-art techniques and topics in the area. Each tutorial will have a length of 1.5 hours.

Submission Guidelines

Tutorial proposals should be submitted via email to all three chairs (see below for addresses). Submissions should be at most 4 (four) pages, with the same format as APWeb-WAIM research papers. Each submission should include the following information:

  • Title
  • Presenters: (name, affiliation, email, address, phone number, short bio highlighting expertise in tutorial domain)
  • Abstract
  • Motivation for the tutorial
  • Brief outline of the tutorial content: If available, providing a URL to the slides will aid in the proposal evaluation
  • Specific goals and objectives
  • Prior offerings: Whether the tutorial was presented elsewhere in the past (and if so) what the attendance was
  • Significant references of the tutorial
  • Short biographies of the presenters
